I want to thank those of you who have taken time to post and share your creative projects at Oh My! Creative. My vision…to create a place, for those of us who are creative, to share the things we make. It’s like a linky party everyday! I have made a few updates that I thought I would share with you as well as explain a few other ways to use the site.
Oh My! Creative is a creative community - OM!C Community! I know you’re thinking…not another thing to join…but it is free and you don’t have to participate in the community aspect if you don’t wish to. You can post and share your projects and link them back to your blog. You will find some additional information on how to use the Community on the ABOUT page as well.
Browse projects by clicking the drop down menus from the six main categories at the top – HOME – HOLIDAY CRAFTS – SEWING – PARTIES – KITCHEN – KIDS CRAFTS. Another option is to use the search box at the top to search the blog. Many of you don’t know this, but my original blog was called Entertain Exchange and focused more on entertaining! There are several years of blog posts that were transitioned to the Oh My! Creative Blog!
As those of you who have transitioned to WordPress know…we no longer have Google Friend Connect to keep track of our followers. It would be great if you would find a way to follow. For me, I am on facebook and Google + the most or follow on RSS Feeds, Bloglovin or email. I’m still working on twitter, but find I often forget to post there!
Below are the new updates that have been made to the Oh My! Creative website. Emily from Emily White Designs did a great job fixing my programming issues along with tweaking the design for me! She was a pleasure to work with if your looking to have blog work done!
One of the NEW UPDATES - no more blurry FEATURED MEMBER photos! Yeah! I felt so bad about that and am thinking of going back and featuring those of you who were featured previously! Also, and this is IMPORTANT, to be considered for the Featured Member…I need you to place your photo or logo in as your profile image. We all want to see an image of who is being featured! That way we can associate your projects with your identity – good branding!
Submit your projects by clicking the SUBMIT YOUR PROJECT BUTTON! It’s easy and doesn’t take much time! You can submit as many projects as you like. Iv’e always been a “more the merrier” type of person – post away!
UPDATE ON VIEWING PROJECTS - Projects are now displayed by most recently posted. Also, you will see you can browse all projects in a category by selecting additional pages at the bottom of the page.
New Feature – There is a new way to show that you like a project. Simply click the “LOVE IT” heart button on the right side of the photo gallery. The top five “LOVED” projects will show up in the sidebar under “MOST LOVED PROJECTS.”
For those of you who have visited the site and left due to poor functioning…I hope you will consider coming back and sharing your projects! I will be doing featured project blog posts and sharing on facebook and other social media as well!
