French Toast Casserole

Today, I am sharing this amazingly delicious French Toast Casserole perfect for any brunch or when you have overnight guests! No doubt your guests will want a second piece!

This casserole has all the great flavor and comfort food goodness as making french toast by the slice but has the ease of a casserole. Not only does it taste great, but it is a casserole that you make the night before – pop it in the oven the next morning…so easy!

What To Serve With Breakfast Casseroles

Breakfast casseroles are perfect when you are serving crowds such as family gatherings, holidays or when you have guests spending the night.

What is great about breakfast casseroles is they most likely can be made the day before, kept in the refrigerator and popped in the oven the next morning with little fuss.

French Toast Casserole Ingredients:

  • Cinnamon bread
  • Cream cheese
  • Brown sugar
  • Butter
  • Eggs
  • Half & half
  • Creamer
  • Cinnamon

Instructions:

  1. Melt butter and brown sugar together on medium heat until sugar is melted.
  2. Pour evenly into the bottom of a 9×13 pan.
  3. Cut bread into 1-inch squares.
  4. Cut cream cheese into small squares.
  5. Layer half of the bread squares over the brown sugar mixture in the pan. Next layer the cream cheese squares. Finish the top layer with the remaining bread.
  6. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs. Add the Creamer, half & half and cinnamon in a bowl until well blended. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the bread. With a spatula, gently press down on the bread so it is completely coated with the egg mixture.
  7. Cover with aluminum foil and refrigerate overnight.
  8. Cook uncovered at 350 degrees for 35-45 minutes or until brown.

Do I have to use Coffee-mate creamer in the casserole?

No. There are several options to substitute for the creamer. Replace with one of these…

  • Add a second cup of fat-free half & half.
  • 1 cup of full-fat half & half.
  • 1 cup cream.
  • 1 cup full-fat milk.

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf Cinnamon Bread
  • 1 8 oz. block cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 cup Coffee-mate Extra Sweet & Creamy liquid creamer or original Coffee-mate liquid creamer
  • 1 cup fat free half & half
  • 2 Tbsp. cinnamon

Instructions

  • Pour evenly in the bottom of a 9×13 pan.

Notes

May substitute creamer with half & half.
